ADD is difficult to diagnose. It must be distinguished from poor
self-discipline, oppositional defiant disorder, lack of respect for
authority and more. No one can just look at your child (or you) or
administer the parent/teacher questionnaire and establish an accurate
diagnosis. Our diagnostics are state of the art and our fees are lower
than most.
If ADD is present, we offer all treatments. We pioneered the use of EEG
Biofeedback (Neurofeedback) Therapy and have been recognized for our
work by our colleagues throughout the country. Although we were among
the original researchers in developing this non drug EEG Biofeedback
therapy, we do not believe it is the best or only choice for every
patient. We recommend caution in bringing your child into a treatment
center offering a single approach. Accordingly, we have brought on board
outstanding psychiatrists skilled in a conservative medication approach
for those people who require this treatment. Furthermore, we have a
number of outstanding clinicians providing programs such as social
skills training, parenting groups, child therapy, family therapy and

Michael K. Linden,
Ph.D. was among the original researchers who pioneered the use of
NeuroFeedback Therapy for Attention Deficit Disorders (ADD/ADHD) and
Learning Disabilities (LD) in 1988. He is known throughout the country
and his work is widely cited in the scientific literature. He published
the first controlled studies on NeuroFeedback Therapy (Journal of
Biofeedback & Self-Regulation, 1996) which have been recognized with awards from the California and
the National Biofeedback Societies. The results of these studies
demonstrated that NeuroFeedback Therapy is successful in improving
attention, hyperactivity and impulsivity and leads to significant
increases in IQ and grade point average. Furthermore, the improvements
come without side effects and remain permanent for years.
Dr. Linden is a Clinical Psychologist and Nationally Certified (BCIA) in
NeuroFeedback and Biofeedback. He is the director of The Original ADD
Treatment Centers which are located in San Juan Capistrano, Irvine and
Carlsbad, California. He’s repeatedly been asked to be a key note
speaker at professional conferences throughout the country. Our
colleagues have benefited from Dr Linden’s technical innovations such
as the use of continuous performance tests (CPT) to gage the
improvements from Neurofeedback Therapy. Right now, Dr. Linden is in the
early stages of developing Neurofeedback treatment procedures for
autistic and brain injured patients.
